Words Can’t Do It Justice
Maserati’s Gran Turismo is a true “Grand Tourer” in the purist sense. Of course there is the usual bevy of specs such as 0-60 time, engine displacement, top speed, wheelbase and the like – but does it really matter? Maserati’s new coupe has such arresting lines that it causes any rational car buying logic to be ineffective. There’s something to be said for Italian design and more specifically Italian designer Pininfarina whose design house has several pieces highlighted on these pages. First we highlighted the Birdcage 75th, then the Ferrari P4/5, and now the Gran Turismo…

Fastest Roadster In The World
The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Supercar use to hold the title of being the fastest production vehicle in the world until the SSC Ultimate Aero TT recorded a top speed of 257 MPH thus dethroning the venerable Veyron. Not to be outdone, Bugatti now has another “Fastest In The World” production vehicle – a roadster version of the Veyron. If that $2.2M/€1.4M is just burning a hole in your pocket, then you may just be able to reserve one of the 150 Veyron Roadsters that are scheduled for production.

The fastest production car in the world…Made in the U.S.A.
Not very long ago we featured the highly anticipated Bugatti Veyron, a 1001 HP Supercar which at the time held the title of being the worlds fastest production vehicle capable of achieving 252 mph. Now note the usage of the world “held”, as in past tense.
Enter the Shelby Super Cars Ultimate Aero TT. An American made, 1183 HP monster that now lays claim to the fastest production car moniker with an observed top speed of 257 mph.

WOW. When a “plain” Murcielago just won’t do, look no further than luxury fashion designer Versace for a special white exterior color with complimentary custom interior to match.

The Maybach 57 ( pronounced my-bok opposed to may-back ) is already as serious as it gets with regards to luxury, prestige, and exclusiveness. However, if the $350,000 sedan in stock form doesn’t cut it for you, there is another option. For an additional $200,000, you can enjoy open-air motoring at it’s finest thanks to the master coach builders from Genaddi Design Group.

…in line with the top down theme, the group at West Coast Customs has come up with this one-off build – a Chrysler 300C convertible coupe…

Lexus LS 460h L

The 4th generation flagship sedan from Lexus seems to have everything it needs to solidify its place in the upper echelon of the full size luxury sedan category. The LS 460 is the standard configuration whereas the LS 460h L boast a 430hp, hybrid power train along with a longer wheelbase. Power is distributed through an eight speed, all wheel drive, continuously variable transmission. The LS also employs the latest advanced active safety technologies. Two small cameras in the front of the vehicle coupled with millimeter-wave radar, work together to detect metallic and non-metallic obstructions in the vehicles path. A third camera, mounted in the steering column focuses on the drivers face and can detect whether or not the driver is focused on the road ahead. If any of these systems detect an impending collision, an initial warning is issued to the driver. The car will even begin to apply the brakes automatically, adjust the steering ratio, and also firm up the passenger restraints including the head rests.
You could fill an entire white paper with the specs, technologies, and appointments – but as they say, some things speak for themselves…

Batmobile
For automotive enthusiasts, this is the best time in history to be in the market for a vehicle. With the SRT family from Daimler Chysler ( more on this later ), ownership of a 420Hp high performance vehicle is not that unrealistic. At the opposite end of the spectrum where price is not an issue, you have the Maybach Exelero. The 700 horsepower twin turbo V-12 will reach a 180+ while retaining all the comforts one would expect in a 1.2 Million dollar vehicle.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4
It’s been a long time coming but the 16.4 is finally available. Available in the sense that if you have 1.1 Million, all 1001 of the Veyrons horse power can be yours. The 64 valve W-16 engine allows Bugatti to proclaim ownership of the worlds fastest production car with a top speed of 252 mph. It’s not a game.
